Short CV - Dr.-Ing. Sami Haddadin, Scientific coordinator "Human-Robot Interaction"Sami Haddadin was born 26.06.1980 in Neustadt am Rübenberge/Germany. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover, the University of Oulu, and the Technical University of Munich. He graduated from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he received both, the BSc. and the MSc. in Electrical Engineering. His Master thesis was "Evaluation Criteria and Control Structures for Safe Human-Robot Interaction".
Additionally, he graduated from TUM , where he received both, the BSc. and MSc. in Computer Science, which he began at Distance University Hagen (FUH). His Master thesis was "Towards the Human-friendly Robotic Co-Worker".
Furthermore, he holds an Honours degree in Technology Management from the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) embedded in the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (LMU), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and the Elitenetwork Bavaria (ENB).
He obtained his PhD from RWTH Aachen.
Sami Haddadin is with the Robotics and Mechatronics Center of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) since 2005. There, he is the scientific coordinator on "Human-Robot Interaction" (www.safe-robots.com).
He is also a lecturer at TUM.
In 2011 he was a visiting scholar at Willow Garage and at Stanford University. He is a visiting scholar of Stanford University since February 2012.
